central location, steep stairs, quaint atmosphere
Rooms are cramped and uncomfortable!!! Noise from the busy street disrupts sleep, and cleaning could definitely be better!!! The steep stairs are a challenge, especially with luggage. More space would enhance the experience!!!

staff is extremely polite and friendly, always willing to help and take care of the customer. location is excellent, less than a 10' walk from Dam Square, next to the Anne Frank house or the Westerkerk, it is perfect for getting to know the city on foot. rooms are modern, comfortable and well equipped, with a working A/C, small desk and a refrigerator. We also have a terrace, where you can go out for a drink as there is a table with chairs, breakfast is varied and quite tasty, room is beautiful, with a great view of the terrace. whole building is very nice and in general it is very recommendable, I will probably stay there again.
I don't know if it's a local custom, but I didn't understand the idea of splitting a duvet from a double bed in two, and having them be so small on top of that. With a big and normal one, like in any other hotel, the bed would have been perfect. The room we had was quite small, although you could be comfortable in it and I imagine that it is the norm in Amsterdam. The stairs are very steep and there is no elevator. We didn't mind, but some people with physical limitations might have a problem with having to climb that high.

The staff went above and beyond to help us switch to a larger room after our mix-up, which made our stay even better. I loved relaxing on the balcony with a book and enjoying the complimentary tea in the cozy lounge. Just a heads up, the bathroom ventilation could use a little work, but overall, we had a fantastic experience! 😊

Like many European hotels, the rooms are a tight squeeze, but who spends time in them except to sleep? The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff helpful and very pleasant. Complimentary breakfast and all day long coffee/tea. We really liked how close it was to everything yet it wasn't in the middle of the city bustle so it was quieter than most. Would highly recommend.
The staff. The breakfast. The location.
We didn’t require it for our foursome, but if wheelchair access is necessary for you, this isn’t the place for you.

The cozy Hotel Clemens had a great location and friendly staff, always ready to assist, which made the stay enjoyable. Be prepared for the steep stairs and a small room, but the breakfast selection was impressive and the ambiance was charming wholeheartedly.
